Rhenium(I) tricarbonyl complexes inhibited the 3- chymotrypsin-like protease (3CLpro) which is one of the main proteases of the severe acute respiratory syndrome—coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2 virus), but the antiviral effect was not studied.
